Finding An Egg Donor
Finding an egg donor in the UK has never been easier. More clinics than ever before have available egg donors. Many clinics no longer have waiting lists, and those that do can still often provide treatment within three months.
If you’re at a clinic that has told you about a lack of egg donors in the UK or that you need to go abroad for treatment or that you should import eggs through an agency then please be aware that this information is probably inaccurate for various reasons.
The rules and regulations when you have treatment abroad with donor eggs are very different from those when you have treatment in the UK with UK-based donors. Deciding to go down this route could impact on you and your donor-conceived children in ways which you are currently unable to foresee.
In The Media
Over the last ten years there’s been an increase in egg and sperm donors coming forward in the UK. This didn’t happen by accident. Media coverage, in whatever way, shape or form, has an important role to play. The more media inches, the more awareness, the more donors come forward.
It is as simple as that.
