Can you help?
Top Sante
I am writing an article for Top Sante magazine about the way in which women/couples have arrived at parenthood. It's designed to help others in the same situation and will give lots of helpful information including charity details, web addresses, phone numbers of help groups and so on. As part of this I am looking for a woman who has had a baby via egg donation.
I would want to have a chat on the phone before Christmas, then after Christmas we hope to arrange a photoshoot where we'd like to bring the woman and her partner, and possibly her little one, into a studio for some pictures - we sort all expenses.. If you think you can help, please email me as soon as possible on

Woman magazine
I'm working on a feature for Woman magazine and I'm looking to speak with a woman in her 40s who has been though the sperm donor conception process and is willing to share her story. The feature will be really positive, about how you felt about the process and what it has been like since the pregnancy and birth. We'll need photos to accompany the piece, of you with your child, but if this is't possible we'll be able to arrange a lovely photoshoot.
If you would like to be part of this feature, please get in touch by emailing me on

Southern Daily Echo
I work as a Features Writer on the Southern Daily Echo in Southampton. I write mainly for our weekly women’s health and lifestyle section, Living.
I am currently researching the issue of egg/sperm/embryo donation, which is obviously topical following reports that the compensation made to donors could be set to rise.
Are you a sperm/egg/embryo donor from our area? We cover the majority of southern Hampshire, which includes Southampton, Winchester, Eastleigh, Fareham, the New Forest and Romsey etc. I would be interested in exploring their motivations and personal experience of the process.

Practical parenting
I am writing a story for Practical Parenting where I am looking to feature women who are bringing up their baby single-handedly. I'm hoping to talk to a woman who has had a baby with the help of a sperm donor, and can talk about her experiences in a really positive and helpful way. If possible, we'd like the mum to have a baby under one.

4 Thought TV
4 Thought TV is a Religion and Ethics strand that airs after the C4 News. The programme offers a platform for people to express their views and opinions on issues that have moral concerns.
For our next topic we will ask should embryonic stem research be allowed and would like to speak with egg donors that have agreed for their surplus to be used for scientific research. I understand the sensitive of this issue, all conversations will be kept confidential and only taken further at your request. You can contact me at

Press Association
I work on the real life desk at the Press Association and we're always looking for incredible, inspiring stories that can be featured in newspapers and magazines.
If anyone wanted to tell their story in the national news, about how a donor changed their life, and helped them have a family, it would be great to hear about them.
If we were able to place their story in a newspaper or magazine, we would be able to arrange a payment for them. In most cases we're also able to include website or contact details for the charity that helped source the story.

Sperm donor research
Hello. My name is Helen Lay and I am looking for sperm donors to interview for my Anthropology Masters dissertation at the University of Sussex.
I would like to explore the thoughts, feelings and experiences of sperm donors, including men who are considering acting as donors, in as much depth as possible. I intend to share my research with the National Gamete Donation Trust with the aim that it may help people who are considering being sperm donors, and contribute to a broader understanding of the experiences of men within assisted conception.

or alternatively contact the National Gamete Donation Trust for more information. I am based in the South-East of England and am happy to travel reasonable distances to meet you or alternatively talk via email or skype at your convenience. I look forward to hearing from you.
Infertility patient survey
IN UK is running a patient survey to find out about your experience of accessing infertility treatment.
Infertility Network UK leads the National Infertility Awareness Campaign (NIAC) which works on behalf of infertility patients throughout the UK to end the postcode lottery and replace this with a fair and equitable infertility service for every patient irrespective of where they live. Over the last few years we have seen a gradual improvement in the provision of treatment by many Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in England; however we know that some still refuse to fund treatment, or provide only one cycle with others implementing restrictive access criteria.
We hope as many patients as possible will complete the online survey which only takes a few minutes - and we can send copies of the survey out to anyone who can’t complete the on line version – just contact us on 0800 008 7464 or email

NGDT: Thank a donor project
The NGDT is working on a project to create a booklet of thank you letters from recipients to donors. Many recipients have said they would like to thank donors and we believe this booklet will give them this opportunity.
It will be used as part of the recruitment process, to help donors understand what their donation means to the families they donate to, and can be kept by donors as a thank you.
As an added benefit, when the booklet is launched it will provide us with a unique media opportunity.
If you are in the position to respond, and would like to, could you please get in touch with Pip Morris, National Coordinator of the NGDT, by the end of June, on

BBC documentary
The BBC is hoping to make a documentary about modern family life in the UK. We’re keen to speak to any gay or lesbian couples or individuals who are parenting or co-parenting at the moment, or who are trying for a baby using AI or other means. We're very aware this is a sensitive subject for a lot of families, and I'm keen to speak to as many people as possible to find out what their experiences have been.
To be honest, our plans are quite loose at the moment, and the angle any programme would take would massively depend on the family we're filming and what's going on in their family at that time. Anyone who contacts me wouldn't be committing themselves to anything at this stage! The best way to get in touch is via

She magazine
My name's Genevieve Roberts and I am senior features writer for SHE magazine.
I am looking to speak to women who have donated eggs – particularly if they may have donated an egg to a member of family.
I'd love to chat to someone about their experiences, as part of a report into egg donation. If they are already a SHE reader they will know we handle stories in a sensitive, non-sensationalist manner.
Thank you,
Genevieve

Grazia Magazine
I am a journalist on Grazia magazine and last year wrote a piece for the magazine about egg donor Cathy Sidaway, who with surrogate Cheryl Richards helped Claire Horner to become a mother for the second time. The article got a huge response from our readers and I'm now looking for an egg donor to work with on another piece.
I'd like to talk to a woman who knows she doesn't want children because she would prefer to focus on her career but has decided to donate her eggs. I'd love to talk to someone who's been in this position about their experiences - or even someone who thinks they might want to be interviewed but has concerns and questions they'd like to discuss before making a firm decision. If you're already a Grazia reader then you'll know we cover stories in a non-sensationalist and sensitive way. If not, then please be assured that we take a really responsible approach to our interviewees and the articles we produce. I can be contacted at

Sheffield University questionnaire
I am a student at Sheffield University currently working on my dissertation and have chosen to study altruism in contemporary British society. I am keen to find out what motivated you to donate sperm; your views on the current financial debate and recruitment methods, and any advice you would offer prospective donors. To help me, I would be extremely grateful if you could take the time to fill in my short questionnaire.
The questionnaires are completely anonymous and the information disclosed will be used in my dissertation only. When completed, please email to

Sex Education Show
Remarkable Television is currently producing series four of The Sex Education Show. The series has won acclaim and award nominations for it’s representation of sex and relationships from the perspective of teenagers, the elderly and people with disabilities and last year we were nominated for a Stonewall award for our portrayal of lgbt relationships. We’ve also been praised for the campaigns run through the series including looking at how readily available pornography is to young people & the influence it has on them.
In the new series we would like to look at alternative family units and are hoping to feature a lesbian couple who are parents. If possible we would like to find a couple who are contemplating having another child at the moment and discuss how they intend to go about this.
If you or anyone you know may fit the bill please get in touch on the email address below.

I am a journalist writing a sensitive and serious article for the Daily Mail on the increase in male infertility. I have already interviewed numerous doctors working in the area about the reasons for this increase. Now I am trying to find men who have experienced infertility to talk about their experience. Are you still trying to have a baby or maybe have had a child (perhaps through ICSI or donor sperm) and can look back at your infertility journey up to that point. Preferably, you need to give your name and be pictured with your partner. Otherwise, be interviewed without a picture. If you could help, I would be very grateful. My deadline is end of this week, the interview will be on the phone, and the photographer, if required, would go to you when convenient.
Many thanks in advance and I can be contacted at
