Trustee wanted
The National Gamete
Donation Trust provides
support, information and advice to gamete donors and recipients, both potential
and actual, on issues relating to infertility treatment involving the use of
donated eggs, sperm and embryos. It liaises with clinics, professionals and
professional bodies to encourage the recruitment and retention of egg, sperm
and embryo donors. The NGDT works with the media and other relevant parties to
raise public awareness of the shortage of sperm, egg and embryo donors
in an effort to alleviate, and ultimately eradicate, that shortage.
The National Gamete Donation Trust has opportunities for new
Trustees. Meetings are usually held twice a year in central London and Trustees
are expected to attend meetings of stakeholder organisations or conferences
every 3 to 4 months. Communication
with the other Trustees is mainly via email on a very regular basis.
We are looking for candidates with an affinity for
infertility issues in general but gamete donation in particular. Personal experience
as either a donor, recipient or donor-conceived is welcomed. Preference will be
given to applications with experience and skills in any of the following
fields: finance, copy writing, marketing, PR and project management.
This position is not remunerated but all expenses are paid.
