Welcome to the National Gamete Donation Trust

On this site you will find clear and practical information mainly for those considering becoming an egg or sperm donor but also for health professionals and those requiring treatment with donor eggs or sperm.

To help you understand what is involved in egg or sperm donation and how to go about becoming a donor you can contact our confidential helpline on 0845 226 9193.

We will be able to give you impartial advice or put you in contact with someone who has already been through the process.

Donors are people from all walks of life - there is no such thing as a standard donor.  What they have in common is a desire to help people to achieve the pregnancy they otherwise couldn't have.

What they also have in common is that most donors say:

"It's one of the best things I have ever done"
